This week for writing we have been figuring out our Turangawaewae and then we had to write about it and try and let you try and figure it out.

It smells like fresh air and plants growing everywhere 

It looks like a beautiful place to stay and a hot sunny day all the time.

The water is as clear as a crystal with the sun beaming   down.

The shakes are as good as some sour snakes. The trees are like a giraffe  I love it cause we have a good rugby team I love it cause we make the best pies.

I love it cause its where im from  Why this important to me is cause thats where im from and where my family is from  If you don't come here you miss out on beautiful weather.

writing - Tuna [eels]

 Over the last couple of weeks we have been researching information about Tuna (eels). We have been learning to write a report using the information we have found.

Our challenges were to include a complex sentence and to use a hyphen followed by a list.

There are different types of eels there black,yellow,golden,olive,light brown. They are long, thin,narrow.They feel slippery, very heavy they max up to 20 kg, slimy, wriggly, slippery and wet. Long-fin eels can be found in NZ shimmering around the shady shallow shore; they live up to two 100 years old but average 35-52 years old.it uses its sense of smell to seek its prey.

Maths of the week

This week for math my group three ways to solve a math question here is my problem.Use a broad range of mental strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems. enjoy my math 

my favorite strategy was tidy numbers if for example if you plus two you have to minus two and for subtraction if you plus 1 you plus 1 because your taking away the numbers you added would get taken off anyway. here is a question 67+28=? so I would plus two on 28 two make it 30 but then I have to take away 2 from 67 to make 65 so then its 65+30 how much easier is that! your answer is 95.
